All’interno del mondo delle GDO (Grande Distribuzione Organizzata) troviamo una figura molto importante che difficilmente possiamo trovare altrove, stiamo parlando del capo reparto.

Il mondo delle GDO è specializzato nella vendita di numerosi tipi di merce differente che organizza in reparti (basti pensare ai supermercati).

Per far fronte alla gestione di questi numerosi reparti si utilizza dipendente specifico che è appunto il capo reparto.

A questo professionista viene affidata la gestione dell’intero reparto, compresa la gestione dei prodotti in vendita, dell’organizzazione degli spazi e anche del personale dipendente.

Ma vediamo nello specifico ciò di cui si occupa un capo reparto.

1. Quali sono le mansioni del capo reparto

Le mansioni affidate a un capo reparto potrebbero differire in base al reparto affidatogli ma, in generale, ogni capo reparto presenta più o meno gli stessi tipi di compiti.

Le grandi distribuzioni hanno il compito di riuscire a vendere quanto più possibile, motivo per cui, uno dei compiti più importanti di questo professionista è riuscire a portare i proprio reparto alle quote di vendita previste dalla propria catena di distribuzione.

Per fare ciò, il capo reparto utilizza ogni tipo di strategia a sua disposizione.

Stabilisci l’ordine di disposizione dei vari prodotti, si occupa del rifornimento degli espositori, cura l’ordinamento della merce attraverso lo shelf marketing, strategia usata dai rivenditori per orientare le scelte dei clienti e incrementare così le vendite.

Attraverso l’ausilio del planogramma (rappresentazione virtuale di uno o più scaffali) si occupa anche degli spostamenti dei vari prodotti.

Inoltre, un lavoro specifico di un capo reparto del settore abbigliamento è la disposizione dei manichini.

Nel caso invece di un capo reparto della zona macelleria, uno dei compiti più classici che gli vengono affidati è la cura dell’esposizione dei prodotti sul banco macelleria.

A questi si aggiungono anche il compito di controllare se il prezzo dei prodotti è corretto e l’organizzazione delle varie offerte promozionali.

Infatti, il merchandising e le offerte promozionali sono uno degli aspetti chiave di qualunque punto vendita ed è compito del capo reparto far sì che i cartelli promozionali siano ben visibili e ben posizionati oltre, naturalmente, a controllare che gli scaffali siano sempre ben riforniti con un giusto numero di articoli.

Come vi abbiamo accennato all’inizio, tra i vari compiti di questo professionista c’è anche la gestione del personale.

Infatti, il capo reparto non svolge il proprio lavoro in solitudine bensì in squadra. Sarà suo il compito di organizzare il lavoro dei commessi, scaffalisti, cassieri e di qualunque altro lavoratore all’interno del proprio reparto.

Ciò vuol dire che sarà il capo reparto ad affidare ad ognuno i propri compiti, organizzandoli in turni e inoltre, sarà sua responsabilità concedere ferie e permessi dei propri subordinati.

Dato che è il diretto responsabile del buon andamento del proprio settore, tra i suoi compiti ci sarà anche quello di osservare e valutare che tutto il proprio personale di settore lavori al meglio intervenendo nel caso ci fosse qualcosa che non va.

Inoltre, nel caso dovesse essere necessario assumere qualche nuovo dipendente, il capo reparto parteciperà alla fase di selezione e, successivamente, alla fase di formazione dei nuovi membri.

Non meno importante, un capo reparto deve sempre essere in grado di sostituire e svolgere, all’occorrenza, le mansioni dei propri subordinati.

È responsabile anche della pulizia e dei rapporti con i fornitori e indovinate che succede in caso di lamentela da parte del cliente? Proprio così, è suo il compito di placare gli animi e sistemare al meglio la situazione.

Bene, riassumendo il tutto potremmo dire che le mansioni del capo reparto sono:

  • Studiare e organizzare il proprio reparto al fine di raggiungere gli obiettivi di vendita
  • Organizzare la disposizione, l’allestimento e il rifornimento dei vari scaffali
  • Tenere sotto controllo le attività relative ai prodotti in magazzino come lo stoccaggio, l’inventariazione e il rifornimento delle merci
  • Gestire i propri sottoposti
  • Osservare e valutare le performance dei dipendenti del proprio reparto
  • Scegliere e formare i nuovi dipendenti del reparto
  • Assicurarsi che il cliente sia quanto più possibile soddisfatto
  • Gestire malfunzionamenti o altri eventuali problemi all’interno del proprio reparto
  • Produrre dei report attraverso i dati di vendita del reparto

Insomma, come potete vedere voi stessi i compiti di questo professionista sono davvero tanti ma, è proprio per tale ragione che viene chiamato capo reparto in quanto è sua la responsabilità di far funziona al meglio la zona affidatagli.

2. Quanto guadagna un capo reparto

Per prima cosa sappiate che lo stipendio di questo professionista tende a variare a seconda del ramo in cui opera.

Ad esempio, un capo reparto all’interno di un ospedale percepirà sicuramente di più di uno che lavora all’interno delle GDO.

Inoltre, molto dipende anche dal numero di anni d’esperienza che si hanno alle spalle. Infatti, solitamente lo stipendio medio di un capo reparto appena assunto difficilmente andrà oltre i 1400 euro al mese.

Le cose cambiano man mano che si vanno ad acquisire anni d’esperienza, infatti, un capo reparto con una buona dose d’esperienza alle spalle (tra i 5 e i 20 anni circa) raggiungerà cifre che si aggirano in media tra i 1750 e i 1870 euro al mese.

Infine, per un veterano la cui esperienza è alle stelle (oltre i 20 anni), lo stipendio arriva a raggiungere in media i 2100 euro al mese.

Tenete presente che le nostre sono cifre media per questa professione. Come già accennato, in base al tipo di settore gli stipendi potrebbero essere anche ben più alti.

Detto questo, andiamo a vedere cosa si deve fare per intraprendere questo tipo di carriera.

3. Come si fa a diventare capo reparto

Partiamo subito con le buone notizie! Sappiate che non esiste un percorso ben delineato per questa professione, ciò vuol dire che chiunque può diventarlo a prescindere che abbiate soltanto la licenza media, il diploma o la laurea.

In generale, il fattore più importante che vi porterà a ricoprire tale ruolo è l’esperienza.

Proprio così, per questo tipo di professione è fondamentale aver maturato anni d’esperienza nel ramo delle vendite, meglio ancora se direttamente all’interno di grandi supermercati o grossi punti vendita.

Spesso, infatti, a diventarlo sono semplici dipendenti che, dopo aver lavorato vari anni, vengono promossi.

In realtà, è giusto che sappiate che esistono anche dei corsi che preparano il personale per questa carriera e, spesso, sono organizzati dalle aziende stesse al fine di preparare il proprio personale.

In questi corsi verranno apprese le conoscenze in merito all’operatività dei vari reparti, dei vari strumenti per gestire al meglio il proprio ambiente, i settori merceologici ma, verranno insegnate anche abilità come la leadership, di negoziazione e direttive per gestire al meglio il personale.
