Quello che andiamo a vedere oggi è forse uno dei lavori più silenziosi che si possano trovare in circolazione, ovvero il bibliotecario.

1. Quali mansioni svolge un bibliotecario
Se pensate che questo lavoro consiste nello stare seduti a non fare niente mentre venite pagati vi sbagliate di grosso, infatti, come per ogni professione, il bibliotecario ha varie mansioni e responsabilità a cui adempiere.
Tra le principali abbiamo:
- offrire servizi di ricerca e informazione ed essere partecipe nello sviluppo di strumenti di informazione che, a sua volta si suddividono in:
- gestire le risorse della biblioteca attraverso selezioni e acquisizioni di nuovi documenti e strumenti
- analizzare sotto l’aspetto dell’attrattività, del contenuto e dell’interesse i documenti informativi suggeriti ad ogni utente
- concedere fotocopie ed eventualmente altro materiale su richiesta
- fornire le informazioni necessarie per l’utilizzo corretto di strumenti audio-visivi
- creare mostre, strumenti di formazione, bibliografie, presentazioni di libri e quant’altro, utile al corretto funzionamento della struttura
- valutare, e nel caso migliorare, le risorse per l’accesso alle informazioni, così da offrire sempre un servizio puntuale e all’altezza
- dirigere il mantenimento e lo sviluppo dei documenti informativi attraverso:
- l’utilizzo di linee guida delle performance di comportamento sulle varie tecniche di ricerche
- il suggerimento di ulteriori acquisti di libri, supporti audio-visivi e tutto il materiale necessario ad accrescere la propria libreria
- selezionare, acquistare e identificare il materiale, tenendo sempre traccia di esso per evitare l’eventuale acquisto di doppioni
- coordinare e mantenere un adeguato sistema di circolazione del materiale
- ampliare e mantenere le comunicazioni con altre biblioteche e i rifornitori di materiali (così da consentire agli utenti, la ricerca ed eventualmente l’accesso fisico al materiale informativo da loro cercato, attraverso altre biblioteche)
Come potete vedere, bisogna darsi da fare anche in questo campo ma cerchiamo, quindi, di capire a quanto ammonta la paga per lo svolgimento di tutte queste attività
2. Quanto guadagna un bibliotecario
Siamo giunti alla parte più interessante di ogni mestiere, ovvero la paga. Abbiamo già visto le mansioni ma quanto si prende un bibliotecario per svolgerle?
Tenete presente che lo stipendio, come per tutti i lavori, varia a seconda di numerosi fattori, come ad esempio il tipo di contratto e il settore. Nonostante questo, possiamo dirvi che la paga media di un bibliotecario che lavora a tempo pieno si aggira sui 900-1000 euro mensili.
Come potete vedere i guadagni non sono proprio elevatissimi però, per chi è appassionato di libri o vuole continuare ad accrescere le proprie conoscenze, non c’è luogo o lavoro migliore.
Dunque, per coloro che fossero interessati ad intraprendere questo nobile mestiere, vediamo ciò che serve per fare il bibliotecario
3. Requisiti necessari per fare il bibliotecario
Partiamo subito dicendo che non esiste un percorso specifico come la medicina o giurisprudenza, per questo tipo di lavoro.
Nonostante ciò, esistono comunque delle lauree triennali e magistrali, come ad esempio archivistica e biblioteconomia, che preparano gli studenti a lavorare in ambito bibliotecario e, nello specifico, all’interno di esse.
Prestate sempre attenzione che il corso di studi da voi scelto vi permetta di accedere ai concorsi pubblici per bibliotecari.
Detto questo, tenete a mente che un buon bibliotecario deve possedere anche determinati requisiti personali, come ad esempio la precisione, ottime doti comunicative, buona organizzazione, cura e attenzione ai dettagli, necessari per dimostrare le proprie doti nello svolgimento di questo lavoro.
