Dopo aver analizzato il lavoro del necroforo, oggi ci andremo a concentrare su un lavoro scambiato spesso con il lavoro di segretaria, ossia il/la receptionist.
Come ben saprete questa figura la si può trovare nei più disparati contesti, dagli hotel ai centri bellezza, dalle palestre agli uffici ma, ciò che accomuna tutti è il fatto che la reception ricopre un ruolo cruciale in ognuno di questi ambiti in quanto il receptionist è la prima figura che il cliente si trova davanti ed è quindi fondamentale per instaurare un legame col cliente.
Nel seguente articolo andremo a scoprire i punti chiave di questa professione concentrandoci in modo particolare sull’aspetto lavorativo, sui compensi e sulle strade da intraprendere per poter diventare un ottimo receptionist.
Partiamo subito con il primo punto andando a scoprire quali sono i compiti che un buon receptionist deve assolvere.
1. Quali sono le mansioni di un receptionist
Prima di tutto bisogna tenere presente che i compiti di tale lavoro possono cambiare a seconda della struttura per cui si lavora (la receptionist di una palestra non avrà bisogno di registrare l’entrata e l’uscita dei clienti registrati, cosa che invece è fondamentale per le strutture alberghiere).
Le strutture lavorative dove è possibile trovare questa figura professionale sono davvero tante e ognuna può assegnare compiti diversi a seconda del contesto lavorativo.
Più in generale, possiamo affermare che la figura della/del receptionist è presente in tutte le aziende o società che presentato uno spazio dedicato per il front office.
Fatte queste dovute premesse, cercheremo comunque di inserire tutte le mansioni che solitamente un receptionist è chiamato a svolgere.
I compiti per questa professione sono svariati ma qualunque sia la struttura ricettiva la prima cosa da fare per qualunque receptionist è l’accoglienza del cliente con l’eventuale registrazione dei dati personali o, eventualmente, rispondere alle domande del cliente in merito ai servizi della struttura.
Altra mansione svolta è quella organizzativa. Una receptionist può infatti essere chiamata a dover rispondere al telefono, prendere registrazioni, fare da tramite per le chiamate, coordinare servizi di messaggistica tra cui la gestione di mail e fax.
Un’altra mansione che accomuna quasi tutte le strutture per cui una receptionist può lavorare è quella della gestione informatica. Spesso, infatti, una receptionist deve svolgere il proprio lavoro tramite l’ausilio di computer e altri apparecchi informatici.
Inoltre, tra le mansioni della receptionist è presente anche quella contabile. Essendo il primo contatto con il cliente, è spesso chiamata a ricevere pagamenti quindi, è responsabile della redazione del conto e dell’incasso dovendo amministrare la cassa.
Per di più, la receptionist è anche responsabile della pulizia generale degli spazi comuni ed è compito suo verificare che gli addetti svolgano al meglio il proprio lavoro.
Queste sono le principali mansioni svolte da qualunque receptionist. Anche se potrebbe non sembrare, questo ruolo è pieno di responsabilità in quanto, il corretto funzionamento dell’intera struttura può dipendere proprio da questa figura essendo l’addetta alle prenotazioni, accoglienze, registrazioni e più in generale essendo il primo contatto con il cliente e con i suoi bisogni.
Visto l’aspetto tecnico, è doveroso approfondire adesso quello economico.
2. Quanto guadagna un receptionist
Rispondere a questa domanda non è molto facile. La paga della receptionist varia in base a parecchi fattori, primo fra tutti il tipo di struttura per cui si lavora.
Tenete presente che un receptionist alle dipendenze di una grande struttura guadagnerà certamente di più di uno che lavora per una struttura medio-piccola.
A condizionare la paga, oltre al tipo di compagnia, troviamo altri fattori quali la posizione geografica, l’esperienza del candidato e le skills che possiede.
Nonostante questo se dovessimo stimare delle cifre possiamo affermare che la paga di un receptionist si aggira in media sui 20000 euro annui ovvero circa 1600 euro mensili.
Per certe realtà tale cifra potrebbe sembrare sproporzionata ma, come accennato prima, in base alle dimensioni della compagnia per cui si lavora la paga risulta essere maggiore.
Terminato il discorso sullo stipendio, passiamo ora a ciò che occorre per intraprendere questa carriera.
3. Come diventare receptionist
Esiste più di una strada per diventate receptionist e adesso andremo ad analizzarle.
La prima, nonché strada più comoda, è l’aver frequentato un istituto alberghiero, linguistico o turistico così da ottenere le conoscenze fondamentali per il corretto svolgimento di questa professione.
Qualora la scelta della scuola fosse ormai passata non c’è da disperarsi perché esistono altre strade che vi permettono di fare il\la receptionist come ad esempio seguire un corso di formazione professionale che vi farà ottenere le conoscenze necessarie.
Assicuratevi che il corso rilasci un attestato che certifichi le conoscenze acquisite.
La laurea per questo tipo di lavoro non è necessaria ma può costituire un punto in più rispetto ad altri concorrenti per tale posizione.
Ricordatevi che essere in possesso delle giuste competenze non basta.
Spesso, oltre alle normali conoscenze per questo lavoro viene anche richiesta una naturale predisposizione a relazionarsi con i clienti.
Inoltre, skill fondamentale è anche la conoscenza di una o più lingue straniere e in particolare quella inglese, ormai indispensabile per tantissimi lavori.
Importante è anche il sapersi presentare in maniera sobria dato che sarete il primo contatto del cliente.
