Quello del regista è sicuramente uno dei lavori che più ci fanno emozionare attraverso le loro opere.
Ogni film, serie TV, opera teatrale o documentario viene interamente guidato da un regista e da tutta la troupe che collabora con lui.
Ciò che però molti non sanno è che questa professione non è propriamente unica, bensì si divide in varie categorie a seconda della tipologia di lavoro che sta svolgendo.
Nel complesso sono tutti abbastanza simili tra loro ma è giusto distinguerli per far comprendere meglio in cosa differiscono le varie tipologie di regista. La prima cosa da fare è capire quali sono queste diverse forme di regia.
Abbiamo, nello specifico, sei tipi di registi:
- Cinematografico
- Teatrale
- Radiofonico
- Televisivo
- Videoludico
- Documentaristico
In questo articolo vedremo la figura del regista in generale, concentrandoci sugli aspetti chiave di questo mestiere.
Se siete curiosi di scoprire le differenze tra un tipo di regista e un altro, vi invitiamo a consultare le specifiche tipologie, dove andremo a concentrarci sulla singola tipologia.
Detto ciò, torniamo a concentrarci sul regista, cercando di capire chi è, cosa fa ma sopratutto quanto guadagna.
1. Quali sono i compiti del regista
Parlando a livello generale, potremmo definire il regista come colui che si occupa dell’intera produzione artistica ma, dato che siamo pignoli e ci piace comprendere nel dettaglio che cosa fa il regista, andiamo a vedere uno a uno tutti i compiti che esso svolge.
La prima cosa da fare per il regista è quella di scegliere il budget, tenendo conto di tutte le spese incombenti o che possono sorgere, e le tempistiche per la realizzazione dell’opera perché si sà, ogni buon progetto deve avere un inizio ma anche una fine che non sia troppo distante.
Una volta definita la spesa si passa poi alla selezione non solo dei personaggi principali ma anche di tutta la troupe che ci lavorerà dietro e quindi tutti gli operatori tecnici come montatori, cameraman, tecnico audio ecc.
Ma il casting di attori e operatori non è l’unica cosa che il regista dovrà scegliere, infatti importantissima è la scelta della location, ossia l’ambientazione dove verrà girata l’intera opera, aspetto chiave di qualunque progetto di ogni regista.
Definiti quindi luogo ed equipe, si passa poi ad esaminare l’intera sceneggiatura che, nel caso andasse bene così com’è, potrà essere validata dal regista stesso.
Ma per fare ciò dovrà essere necessaria la collaborazione dello sceneggiatore con il quale verranno discusse, qualora ce ne fosse bisogno, eventuali modifiche del copione.
Fatto questo, è tempo per il regista di passare all’azione.
Sarà compito suo, una volta iniziate le riprese, dirigere l’intera equipe tecnico-artistica per far sì che il progetto finale sia di alta qualità e per farlo dovrà esaminare e verificare l’intera qualità delle varie parti girate, giorno per giorno, così da capire se il girato giornaliero è di buona qualità o se sarà necessario ripetere qualche scena.
Una volta terminate le scene da girare, il regista ha il compito di supervisionare e coordinare le attività di montaggio che comprendono anche l’eventuale aggiunta di effetti sonori, effetti speciali, un eventuale doppiaggio (qualora ce ne fosse bisogno) e altro ancora.
Terminato il montaggio, ci si avvia alla fase finale per il regista, ovvero il controllo sull’esattezza di titoli, sottotitoli o didascalie.
Con questo terminano le mansioni che un buon regista è tenuto a svolgere. Passiamo ad esaminare i guadagni che possono portare a casa i registi italiani.
2. Quanto guadagna un regista
Prima di iniziare con cifre e numeri, è giusto informare tutti gli aspiranti registi del bel paese che il cinema, o più in generale, tutta la cultura cinematografica (compresi programmi TV, documentari e altro) non sono ben radicati come lo sono ad esempio in America.
Tutto questo si traduce in compensi nettamente inferiori rispetto ai colleghi esteri, spesso visti come delle vere e proprie star al pari degli attori più famosi.
Se pensate che questo sia l’unico problema per questo professionista qui in Italia beh, mi spiace deludervi ma non è così.
Nel nostro paese, come già accennato, i guadagni sono molto inferiori rispetto a quelli d’oltre oceano nonostante negli ultimi anni si siano leggermente abbassati.
Basta pensare che alcuni registi americani per un unico film in passato sono arrivati a guadagnare fino a 20 milioni, cifre che adesso non si arrivano più a raggiungere.
Nonostante tutto, gli stipendi dei colleghi in America restano comunque parecchio elevate, si parla infatti di guadagni che vanno in media tra i 750000 e 1,5 milioni di dollari, compensi assolutamente di tutto rispetto.
Detto ciò, basta parlare di stipendi esteri e torniamo sui nostri binari andando a vedere quella che è la situazione italiana.
Come per qualunque altro tipo di lavoro, la paga viene influenzata da molti fattori, primi fra tutti l’esperienza e la fama del soggetto.
Questo vuol dire che se non avete già una certa fama non aspettatevi di raggiungere chissà quali compensi.
Ma andiamo a vedere qualche numero.
Nel bel paese lo stipendio di un regista si aggira intorno ai 3000 euro a settimana (già, a quanto pare nel mondo nel grande schermo gli stipendi sembrano essere settimanali) ma queste cifre riguardano professionisti che sono nel settore da anni e che possiedono già una discreta fama.
In generale non pensate che le cose vadano così bene per tutti i registi italiani.
Secondo alcuni dati, la paga media di un regista si assesta sui 3000-3500 euro mensili, che è già ben distante dalle cifre citate poco fa.
Se pensate che 3000 euro siano già più che sufficienti, sappiate che diventare un regista con una paga del genere non è facile come immaginate.
Se la vostra passione per la regia è più forte di qualunque ostacolo, è giusto mostrarvi ciò che è necessario fare per intraprendere questa carriera.
3. Come diventare regista
Per diventare regista non esiste una strada precisa da percorrere.
Ciò non vuol dire che non ci sia, anzi, le vie per questa professione sono più di una, andiamo quindi a vedere quali sono.
Il primo consiglio è quello di seguire un corso di laurea triennale in Scienze della musica, delle arti e dello spettacolo che permetterà di ottenere conoscenze e vi darà un primo assaggio di ciò che vi attende come regista.
La semplice triennale non basta? Altro consiglio per diventare regista è iscrivervi a un corso di laurea magistrale in Scienze dello spettacolo e delle produzioni multimediali.
Grazie a questo corso imparerete tutto quello che è necessario sapere per poter diventare un buon regista, il resto poi dipenderà da voi.
Ultima ma non meno importante è la scelta di frequentare una scuola di cinema o un’accademia.
Se pensate che queste scuole non siano all’altezza delle università vi sbagliate di grosso.
Non solo verrete preparati a livello tecnico, vi verranno anche proposti stage e laboratori che vi permetteranno persino di fare pratica, dandovi la possibilità di conoscere l’ambiente e ottenere persino una rete di contatti che vi sarà estremamente utile quando inizierete a lavorare.
Oops, ci siamo quasi dimenticati di un’ultimissima opzione che forse è la più apprezzata da coloro che vogliono intraprendere questa carriera, ossia l’esperienza diretta in uno staff di produzione.
Proprio così, la teoria è importante ma se non si è in grado di mettere in campo ciò che si impara non serve a niente.
Ricordate che l’esperienza è uno dei fattori più importanti per questa attività e, se unita a buone doti relazionali, permetteranno di ottenere risultati sul campo.

editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
