Nell’articolo di oggi tratteremo una professione che può essere esercitata in molti ambiti diversi, parliamo dello sceneggiatore le cui abilità vengono riconosciute da tutti, dal mondo della tv a quello del cinema fino a raggiungere il mondo dei fumetti.

Insomma, potremmo dire che ovunque sia presente una nuova opera, è presente anche lo zampino dello sceneggiatore.

Prima di andare ad esaminare i punti chiavi del nostro articolo, cerchiamo di conoscere un po’ meglio questo professionista.

La prima cosa da conoscere sul mestiere dello sceneggiatore è che questa professione è di enorme importanza all’interno del contesto in cui si trova a lavorare.

Se, ad esempio, il regista è colui che guida il progetto lungo la strada, lo sceneggiatore, invece, lo potremmo definire come colui che traccia la strada da percorrere.

Proprio così, perché alla base di qualunque tipo di progetto si nasconde una storia che deve essere elaborata sotto ogni più piccolo dettaglio e, a fare ciò, troviamo proprio lo sceneggiatore.

In altre parole, volendo paragonare lo sceneggiatore a un mestiere del passato, potremmo dire che questo professionista è il cantastorie dei giorni nostri.

Se una volta il cantastorie raccontava le proprie narrazioni solo tramite la sua voce, oggi, la versione più evoluta, ossia lo sceneggiatore, continua con lo stesso tipo di mestiere ma con tecniche più avanzate, ossia tramite l’ausilio della tecnologia che gli permette di dar vita a quei prodotti audio-visivi (e non solo) che tanto ci piacciono.

Ora che sappiamo qualcosa in più su questo “navigatore satellitare” del mondo dell’arte e dello spettacolo, è giunto il momento di capire cosa fa realmente questo menestrello moderno.

1. Quali sono i compiti dello sceneggiatore

È chiaro che le mansioni di questo professionista cambieranno al cambiare dell’ambiente in cui lavora.

Uno sceneggiatore del mondo del cinema avrà compiti ben diversi rispetto a uno sceneggiatore che lavora per degli spot pubblicitari.

In linea di massima, comunque, alla base di questa professione, come compito principale c’è sempre quello di raccontare una storia, di narrare degli eventi, che sia essi già accaduti o semplicemente immaginati.

Per capire bene i compiti dello sceneggiatore, bisogna prima capire cos’è la sceneggiatura.

Volendo farla breve, potremmo paragonare la sceneggiatura allo scheletro stesso dell’opera o, utilizzando un’altra metafora, potremmo definire la sceneggiatura come la colonna portante di qualunque opera, per cui, senza una buona sceneggiatura alle spalle, l’opera è destinata a fallire.

Tutto ciò dovrebbe farvi comprendere quanto sia importante il ruolo dello sceneggiatore in quanto è lui il diretto responsabile della sceneggiatura, come anche dei dialoghi, del mantenere le diverse caratteristiche di ogni personaggio invariate tra le varie scene (basti pensare,infatti, al ruolo dello sceneggiatore che collabora con un fumettista), dell’ambientazione in cui si svolgono le scene e di molti altri piccoli dettagli di cui dovrà tener conto.

I compiti dello sceneggiatore non si svolgono esclusivamente in solitaria, una volta completata la stesura dell’opera, quest’ultima verrà esaminata in collaborazione con il regista e, durante le riprese, in collaborazione anche con i vari cameraman per cercare di cogliere le scene migliori.

Un lavoro di enorme responsabilità che, spesso, non viene abbastanza riconosciuto (non è raro che un’opera abbia successo ma che lo sceneggiatore rimanga in ombra).

Volendo, potremmo riassumere le principali mansioni di questo professionista in:

  • Realizzazione di progetti narrativi per cinema, televisione, radio, fumetti, teatro e molto altro ancora
  • Stabilire scaletta e tempi dell’intera sceneggiatura
  • Sviluppare i temi e i personaggi all’interno dell’opera narrativa
  • Revisione di testi (che siano propri o di terzi) in base alle esigenze della produzione
  • Presentare progetti e personaggi alla produzione al fine di realizzare il prodotto

Questo è, in generale, ciò che ogni sceneggiatore si ritrova a fare nel proprio lavoro.

Ora che sappiamo qualcosa in più su questa professione, scopriamo quanto guadagna uno sceneggiatore.

2. Quanto guadagna uno sceneggiatore

La prima cosa da sottolineare è l’enorme diversità di compensi che operano all’interno dell’ambiente lavorativo dello sceneggiatore.

Ritrovandosi a lavorare in un vastissimo numero di ambienti, il compenso varierà molto anche all’interno di essi.

Uno sceneggiatore di spot pubblicitari non arriverà mai a percepire quanto uno di cinema.

Motivo per cui, andremo a basare le nostre cifre sul tipo di sceneggiatore più diffuso, ossia quello tv.

Innanzitutto è importante sapere che questo è un ambiente spietato dove, non sempre è facile riuscire a emergere.

Ma, nonostante questo, la buona notizia è che con questo mestiere si riescono ad ottenere degli ottimi compensi.

Un esempio sono gli ingaggi di Rai e Mediaset i cui compensi per gli sceneggiatori variano tra i 12000 e i 25000 euro a puntata.

Per video di circa 30-50 minuti, di norma, percepisce tra i 12 e i 15000 euro mentre, arrivando a 100 minuti, raggiunge i 25000 euro.

Purtroppo, come già detto l’ambiente è spietato e spesso, in questo ambiente si gioca al ribasso sul prezzo (vista anche l’enorme concorrenza) motivo per cui, i compensi, potrebbero essere ben più bassi di quelli da noi esposti.

In ogni caso, la paga rimane alta e, in base alla fama delle persone da cui si viene ingaggiati, i compensi subiscono un’enorme impennata.

Bene, ora che sappiamo che questa professione è davvero ben retribuita, scopriamo cosa serve per poter fare lo sceneggiatore.

3. Come si diventa sceneggiatore

La buona notizia è che non è necessario alcun titolo di studio. L’ambiente, infatti, è pieno di sceneggiatori che hanno appreso le conoscenze necessarie da autodidatti e sono entrati a far parte di questo mondo.

Il problema, però, è che per questo tipo di professione servono, oltre a grande fantasia e immaginazione, enormi abilità e competenze, caratteristiche che spesso è difficile apprendere da soli.

Lo sceneggiatore è in primis uno scrittore e, come qualunque scrittore, deve possedere straordinarie abilità sia nello scrivere che nel comprendere testi, oltre che, naturalmente, nel sapere esprimere, adattare e comunicare il tutto in una forma scritta pressochè perfetta.

Per questo motivo, è spesso consigliato seguire corsi di studio specifici e inerenti l’ambito lavorativo, come ad esempio i corsi di laurea al DAMS (Dipartimento Arte Musica e Spettacolo), cinema e molto altro ancora.

In ogni caso, esistono anche dei corsi specifici e specializzanti che permettono di ottenere le conoscenze necessarie per entrare a far parte di questo ambiente.
